Are You the First One at Work?
Let’s start the year right by starting the day right. Let’s get to work early. Perhaps this is a given for you. Maybe you already do it, but if not, discover the wonderful feeling you have knowing that you weren’t rudely shocked into the day. You eased into it.
This one action is almost as gratifying as when you make your bed in the morning. For some people, making the bed represents the first action of the day that shows you’ve done something productive. It represents accomplishment.
One more thought. Coming to work early doesn’t mean you rush around to get ready for the day. THAT you should have done that day before. I explain that concept in my first book, PerfectTIMING:
The Acronym for Your Day Should Be PORE
P stands for PREPARATION. You are prepared today because you got everything ready the night before.
O stands for OPERATE. You handle your initial projects with the focus and dedication of a surgeon.
R stands for REFRESH. All throughout the day you remember to take a break when necessary.
E stands for EVALUATE. You think about your day. What went right? What went wrong? What should change?
