Build the Quality You Want
What made you go into the business you’re in?
That is a question I sometimes ask my clients. They don’t think about that very often and I think it gives them reason to continue to do an even better job at serving their customers.
For some people, they had great interest in their field and jumped right in. Hopefully they still have that passion and serve their customers well.
For others, they may have had frustrations with an organization that drove them to create their own. They look at the competition and say, “I could do better.”
All you need to do is think about Walmart and Amazon and you will see great examples of organizations that outdid their competition by having the things that people wanted and offering them at great prices.
It’s all about passion for what you do. Now it’s time to ask yourself if your passion is still high, or if its waned. Are you still excited about coming in to work each day? If not, maybe it’s time to sell the business and start something new that you will have a passion for.
You already have plenty of experience, so you can add that to a new field where you think a new competitor (you) would be just the right service or product the community needs.
