Is New Year’s a Big Deal to You?
I love the holiday season. Christmas has a special meaning to a lot of people, yet I have a very satisfying feeling about the New Year’s season, too.
The new year, to me, is a time to recreate yourself. It’s a chance to start things all over on January 1. You make it this marker to determine who you will be for the upcoming year.
Too many times we roll into the new year just like we did the past year. In some cases, we approach our work day that way. We don’t ask ourselves what we could do differently to make it extra special.
My organization (iMPACT Training &Executive Coaching) has a theme that my marketing firm (Storm Cloud Marketing) came up with several years ago and I still use it. The term is “level up”. Level Up refers to ways that we can reach that next rung on our life ladder to achieve success.
Here’s something that I mentioned in my book PerfectTIMING that might serve you well. Whether it’s a new year, new month, new week or new day, ask this.
What went RIGHT? (Always start with that for a little self-motivation.)
What went WRONG? (Don’t be shy.)
What should you CHANGE? (This can make a big difference in your life.)
Oh, and HAPPY NEW YEAR! Make this one the best!
