Is Your Presentation like Perfume?
I was watching a movie the other evening when they mentioned the three parts of a cologne. It’s the top note, the heart, and the bottom note.
As they were trying to come up with a new scent, I noticed all the work they put into choosing which aromas worked and which ones didn’t. The right ones had to be combined to create a signature scent.
That’s a lot like how we should communicate. The TOP NOTE should be the first thing we say that draws our audience into our subject.
The HEART should be filled with honest ,effective, carefully chosen words that explain what you want the audience to understand.
The BOTTOM NOTE should be the thing that springs the audience into action. In convinces them to believe what you are saying.
Now back to the movie I watched. When they discovered the proper scent for the signature cologne, they produced it. People loved it and the makers made a lot of money.
Here’s hoping that all of your interactions are rich and successful.
